From Whence Came The Word Unto You?

Message Transcribed and Edited From Audio Tape #276

My thought from the Word of God for this timely message will be a blessing to many of us.  I believe this message will help us to see our way of spiritual travel more clearly through this maze of religious confusion, which now exists in the religious world.
The thought for this message, “From Whence Came The Word of God To You Gentiles?,” will give an explanation of where the Church started.  The Church started with the Jewish people on the day of Pentecost; however, the beginning of the Church did not stay within the Jewish realm for a long period of time.  As the continuous forming of the Church took place, no books or letters directed specifically to the Gentiles were written from Jerusalem.  This will be a very important point as we study the Word of God on this topic.
The Bible scripture for this thought comes from First Corinthians, chapter one.  I believe this message is very important due to the Word of God that some religious leaders are attempting to preach to the Gentile Bride of Jesus Christ.  I want to show you that the Word we have did not come from Jerusalem.  This is a very important point to remember.  The Word that came to the Gentiles was written from other places in Asia, and even from Rome.  The real Church, the Gentile Bride Church specifically,  “caught on fire” in Asia Minor.  We can understand that the twelve apostles came from Jerusalem, but the Seven Churches were represented in Asia Minor, the Gentile world.  This is a very important understanding of the Word of God for our day in history.  We are a Gentile people, and some of the scripture that was specifically written for the Jews does not apply to us.  Many ministers attempt to use the four gospels,-Matthew, Mark, Luke, and St. John, - and make the teachings of these gospels a major part of the gospel that God has given to us Gentiles.  The Word of God teaches us in Romans 15:8—“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:”  However, Paul was the minister of Jesus Christ to us as Gentiles.  Take special note as we learn, for this is going to be extremely important for our understanding.  There is a slight difference in the Gospel to the Jews, than to the Gentiles.  When we look into the Word of God, you will see that the Epistles that were written to the Bride of Jesus Christ were not written from Jerusalem.
Perhaps we have not realized that the city of Jerusalem is not so much a city for the Gentiles.  Jerusalem is mainly a city for the Jews.  When the Gospel came on the day of Pentecost, Peter stood up with the eleven, (with Peter being the twelfth).  All these followers of Jesus Christ were Jews and the Gospel they preached was to the Jews.  When Jesus preached the Word of God, He said in Matthew 10:5—“…Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:…”  To whom did He direct this statement?  Verse 6—“But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”  He came as that promised seed of Abraham to minister that Covenant to the nation of Israel.  However, we are not Jews!  We are Gentiles!  This fact makes a difference, and there are people in the land today who are the Gentile Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Paul wrote to the Bride of Jesus Christ to be continually washed by the water of the Word in order to leave this physical earth in the catching away, or what we like to refer to as the rapture.  I want to clear some thinking on some points, so that our understanding will be plain – in order that we will know our spiritual direction and the goal of the Lord we are striving to obtain.  I will use the King James version of the Bible.  Also, it has been researched as to when each book was written and from where it was written.  This information is very important to our understanding.  You will see as we go along and bring forth our points for this message.
I want to read First Corinthians 14:36-38—“What?  Came the word of God out from you?  or came it unto you only?  If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.  But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.”
