Their
Voices Finishes the Mystery of God

Message transcribed and
edited from audio tape # 136
Preached July 13, 1985
By Brother Ben Howard
Dawsonville, GA
Let’s look to the Word of God in the 10th chapter
of the Book of Revelation. I want to minister on a
subject entitled, “Their Voices Finishes the Mystery
of God.” You will understand as we go along why we
have entitled our thoughts this way. In Revelation,
chapter 10:7; it says, “But in the days of the voice
of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound,
the mystery of God should be finished.” I feel that
the Lord has given us a revelation of the Word of God
that will help us, and may I say before approaching
the message—that the mystery of God has to be finished
before the perfecting of the saints.
The mystery of God has to do with the happenings
during the Seven Church Ages. The Word of God speaks
in Matthew, chapter 13 about the Kingdom of Heaven
Age, and it gives seven parables; and at the end of
the parables something happens--the net is pulled in,
and a separation takes place, then comes perfection.
So the mystery definitely has to be finished before
the perfecting of the saints takes place. Thus the
title of the message, “Their Voices Finishes the
Mystery of God.”
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we thank You for
another privilege to come to You, to stand before the
Saints of God with Your Book open. Lord, as Your Word
says, “Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.” I
pray that all of our mouths will be open to the
spiritual things that Thou has to feed us. Fill us
with Your good things from Your Word. Give us that,
that Thou has ordained for us. May we know where we
are at in Your Word as You reveal Your Truth unto us.
Bless the Saints, and bless this message, Lord, where
ever it may go, and who ever hears it or reads it--
may it be a blessing, and may it accomplish that, that
Thou has ordained. And we’ll be careful to praise
You--in Jesus’ name. Amen.
I want to say before approaching the Word of God
here in the 10th chapter of the Book of Revelation,
that John was picked up in the Spirit and set over in
the day of the Lord, and he could look back and see
all the happenings of the Book of Revelation as it
happened down through the church ages, although John
lived in about 96 A.D.—which was the time of the
writings. In the first chapter of the Book of
Revelation John says, “I was in the Spirit on the
Lord’s day,”--and the Lord’s day is that millennial
day. So he was picked up and set over in the
millennial day, and he saw all these things as it came
up through time. Therefore he could speak and write
as though he was living in the day when it was
happening. The 10th chapter of the Book of Revelation
happens in the day and the hour that WE are living in.
Now reading the Word of God, John writes:
Revelation 10:1—“And I saw another mighty angel come
down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow
was upon His head, and His face was as it were the
sun, and His feet as pillars of fire:” Notice, this
Mighty Angel is the Lord Jesus Christ as John sees Him
come back to earth after the Seven Church Age period
has ran it’s course. He personalized Himself in the
early Church. He led and directed the early Church
from within and great grace was upon them, but
history, the Word, it declares that the Church fell
away. It went into a time called, “The Dark Ages”,
and during this time, being away from the full
sunlight of the Word of God, they picked up many
doctrines, such as the trinity of the Godhead. They
made many denominations, but now the Word is back
again. We’ve come through a church age period back to
the original where the Spoken Word of God is having
its effect on the Bride. We’ve come into a time of
perfection. We are definitely living in the last
generation prior to the return of the Lord for the
rapturing of the Church.
Continuing the reading of the Word of God, “… a
mighty angel came down clothed with a cloud…” (this
means nobody can see Him except those with a
revelation). The Word says that Jesus prayed, “I
thank Thee, O Father, that Thou has hid these things
from the wise and the prudent, and revealed them unto
babes such as would learn.” So that’s why He is
clothed in a cloud-- just like when He came the first
time and walked around on the sandy shores of Galilee.
He was clothed in a cloud and no one knew who He was
except those to whom it was revealed. It is the same
thing today.
Verse 2—“And He had in His hand a little book
open: and He set His right foot upon the sea, and His
left foot on the earth.” Now this book at one time
was closed with seven seals on it. Verse 3—“And cried
with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth:…” Notice
the wording of the scripture here. “And cried with a
loud voice AS WHEN A LION ROARETH:”
It is time for us to wake up and realize that God
has wrought a great work in our day. It’s time for us
to realize that the happenings of this day in the
church were not normal. There has been a great
tremendous supernatural move of God to wake up the
people, and to prepare a people for the coming of the
Lord. He said that before the great and dreadful day
of the Lord He would send Elijah the prophet to
forerun once again. He has done that through the
Seventh Church Age Messenger, William Branham, who
also had the spirit of Elijah. Brothers and Sisters,
we are living in supernatural times! We’re living in
a time when God is preparing a people. God is getting
a church ready and He wants you to know the Word. He
wants you to know where you stand. He wants you to be
more than a conqueror, as we hear the roar of the
Lion “ the Voice of Christ” after the church
ages.
Now in looking at this 10th chapter of the Book
of Revelation it seems to be shrouded to the point
that certain mysteries remain there—especially
concerning the uttering of the thunders. I believe
the Lord wants us to get this behind us and go on into
the things that He has for us, because Ephesians 4
tells us there is a Five-Fold Ministry that’s to come
for the perfecting of the Saints, to build us up into
the stature of the man Christ Jesus. These things
that concerned the Kingdom of Heaven Age (the period
of time spoken of in Matthew, chapter 13 and the first
three chapters of the book of Revelation) it was good,
it was a light that shineth in a dark place. These
star messengers for the church ages, they were light.
They shined in a dark place, and they had a Word for
the people of their day. But we are living in an hour
when the Daystar is rising in our hearts.
Now I want you to notice here, He (Christ) came to
earth in an angelical form and He had a little book in
His hand, and it was open—that means that nothing
should be sealed to the servants of God. Please
notice—in the 5th chapter of Revelation, the book was
closed, sealed with seven seals, but here He is on
earth, and the book is no longer sealed, but it is
open—meaning the mystery of God ought to be clear.
The mysteries of the church ages, which is one
mystery, but within that one mystery there are many
mysteries. This mystery is going to be cleared up to
the Bride. You are going to know what it is. You are
going to begin to get dressed for the rapture. You
are going to begin to look to the things that God is
giving to the Church in this day, the hour we are
living in. The Mighty Angel (Christ) roars as a Mighty
Lion. He wakes things up. He shakes things up. All
of this fits right in here, and it is what God is
doing in this hour. The book is open. The mystery is
being revealed as God has so ordained it. We may try
to do a lot things, but God has ordained a few things
Himself, and He’s ordained a few things for a special
people. Those are the ones that are going to get it.
The rest will be blinded. As it was when Jesus came
to Israel—the elected saw it and the rest were
blinded. It is the same thing in this day. We don’t
have anything to do with who sees it and who doesn’t.
It is the Lord. He is the one who opens and closes
eyes, but to those who want truth, He will give it to
them.
Notice, He comes to earth, the book is open now,
and then verse 3 says, “He cried as when a lion
roareth.” That has taken place. We have heard the
cry. Yes, we’ve heard the SHOUT of His coming. We
have heard the lion roar. The lion is the king of the
beasts. In the beast family there is nothing stronger
or mightier than a lion. I’ve been told that when a
lion roars in the jungle that everything shuts up—even
the little beetles and bugs quit making their noise.
They fear and they tremble, because the lion has
roared. I’ll tell you, a lot of big claims has to be
dropped as to who is the Church of the Living God when
God moves on the scene, and the lion roars. A lot of
people’s revelation has proved to be wrong when in
1963, God sent Brother Branham out west and he met
with seven angels, and the Lord told him to go back
home and preach the seven seals. A lot of people had
to bow their heads and admit that they didn’t have the
Voice of God when one of those spiritual messengers
(angels) came each day and revealed what that seal
was. Even Brother Branham himself said, “When He came
and told me what it was, it turned me completely
around.” What is it? It’s the roaring of a lion
establishing a truth, bringing the Word, waking up a
church (those that want to be woke up). Brothers and
sisters, the seals are open, the seven angels have
come to earth, and they have uttered their voices. We
have got to have this behind us before we go on to the
perfecting of the Saints, because we can’t have this
to have to crawl over while looking at Ephesians 4.
Ephesians 4 is the chapter that produces a ministry
that perfects the Saints.
