About Us
The Sound of Liberty Assembly Church
|
|
This humble work of the Lord began in the mid 1960's,
when I was pressed in my spirit to start a church in
the Dawsonville area. Prior to this, I had been
holding tent meetings and preaching all over the
Georgia area, as well as in other parts of the United
States. Also at this time, I was working on a farm
raising chickens.
I began to pray and seek God about quitting this job
to dedicate myself more to the ministering of the
Word, as the Holy Spirit was leading me to do, but I
did not know when would be the right time for me to do
this. One early evening as I was finishing out the day
at one of the chickens houses, an extraordinary thing
happened to me. I was giving a final check on the
chickens and checking the lights, when all of a sudden
I turned, and there stood someone that looked just
like myself. He asked me, "Do you know me?" I don't
know why I answered the way I did; but I said, "Yes,
I've looked for you all my life." (I had always felt
there was someone following me; always someone
around). I walked up to this form and we embraced one
another, and he said these words, "This will be your
last bunch of chickens." Then he was gone. So after
these chickens sold, I stopped raising chickens and
started the church in Dawsonville, Georgia (USA), as I
was instructed by the Lord.
We have been privileged and honored to preach the Word
of God here for over 40 years; moving from revelation
to revelation, and from glory to glory. Our God is
always moving His Church further in the revelation of
His Word, and we must have an open heart and mind in
order to move with Him, because that is only where the
Life is.
The Lord has been taking this humble ministry to the
nations of the world with books and tapes; as well as
personal visits in order to make it known to His
Beloved Bride, and we thank Him for letting us be of
service to Him and to His Bride.
