God's Redeemed Family (2354)
As we look to the Word of God, I want to speak about God's Redeemed Family and as we look at God's family, we want to look at the different sections of it. We are going to deal with how God redeems all His family, and this is very important. One of the thoughts that I will bring in is the story of Ruth and Boaz and we see that Boaz wanted Ruth. He fell in love with Ruth, but in order to get Ruth, he had to take Naomi. Boaz married Ruth and in doing so he redeemed Naomi. This was the way the law was set up, Naomi was next of kin, so he couldn't get Ruth without taking Naomi; not for his wife, but he had to buy her possessions and take care of her. I am not going into all that part now, but it is a point I want to make a little later. In order to get Ruth, he had to redeem Naomi. I am looking at this: In order for Christ to redeem His wife, He had to redeem the whole thing. So that is one of the thoughts we will deal with. So I want to start in the Book of Genesis (genes) which is a seed book.
