Baptized With The Holy Ghost And Then Into The Body Of Christ (1859)
We will be reading from the Chapter 2 of the Book of Acts and I want you to notice that it speaks of individuals being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Now, we know what the Holy Ghost is, it's the Spirit of Christ after His crucifixion and resurrection. He came back as the Holy Ghost. Christ said He would baptize us with the Holy Ghost. This happened first with the Jews on the Jewish Feast Day of Pentecost. Then later, the Apostle Peter went to the house of Cornelius; thus opening the door of salvation to the Gentiles; and on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts, Chapter 10) But then we read later where the Apostle Paul begins to write about being baptized into the body of Christ. Is it the same experience? We are about to learn the answer to this very important question?
